Today was the bomb! Lots of laughter, good news, & thanks be to god it all went well today. I wasn't anticipating a pleasant day today, but it seems the tables have been turned; the day at school was rather enjoyable, partly due to the fact that it was our slacking day, tuesday. 1st 2 periods mother tongue, same old stuff. Same with physics after mother tongue. & Then along came P.E.
To be honest, my heart was racing as aljunied clarified with us one by one, about our CCAs & whether we were 'regulars' or not, as he took our attendance. When my turn came, I immediately answered in a 'step-confident' tone, "Youth Flying Club". Then he paused * gave me that surprised stare. A couple of seconds later he complimented that I had 'lost a lot of weight'. That was kinda expected, I did lose a lot of weight anyways, but what stunned me was how polite he was being to me this time round. He even advised me nicely to be more engaged in my CCA when I hadn't been attending it since the start of sec 3. Well, I must say I'm quite glad the air's been cleared between us.
& So he continued on with his CCA attendance clarification. Although he was nice to me, I know he's still as mean as he was before. This time, Amin got it the worst. I know he means what he says jokingly only, but he does it at the expense of others, which is not at all respectful, I feel. Before Amin could even clarify his cca, Aljunied was already like, "BUFFET KING","WITH THE MILKSHAKE","EXTRA CHEEEESSEEE". Although it was funny and even I myself roared with laughter along with the entire class, I just feel sorry for the guy. I don't know how he contructs such an impenetrable emotional wall to shield himself from insults daily. I guess he's just very carefree, Amin. Hahahahas. He was even laughing along at himself when he got insulted. I wish I was a carefree as him. Aljunied even told Amin to sit down and have a coffee with me & get tips on how to lose weight effectively. LOL.
After the 1 period-long CCA attendance clarification, we finally headed to the hall to take our height & weight. I'm assuming this is the 1st time this year most of us're measuring our height & weight, which could have either fluctuated or remained the same. For me, I grew about 1cm over the holidays, & I'm now about 171cm. As for my weight... well I'm sure those of my friends who had been in 1e4 & 2e4 with me should know it had gone down drastically, but I didn't expect myself to be lighter than 70kg now ROFL. Without my belt, I'm about 69kgs. Hey, 171CM, 69kg. Not bad okay, I was 91 kg in sec 1 HAHAHAHA. Compare me between now & previously, & you'd be astonished. I really don't know how to express my delight, but I certainly know this: I'M FINALLY AT ACCEPTABLE WEIGHT after being overweight for effectively, the entire 15 years of my life. Yes, I'm aware most of my classmates now wouldn't know exactly how much I've gone down, as some of us weren't together in lower sec hahas. For those who were in the same lower sec classes as me, you guys should know :)
Somehow, those endless situps on the bed & pushups on the mat did the trick.
Oh, & not forgetting that pact I made with rice enforcing my will not to eat it :)
On the other hand, there were some who were rather disappointed with their new height and weight, & some pleased. Some of our measurements seemed unreal, like potato looking unrealistically tall, but ended up being only 167cm. I guess nicholas was lucky he grew 2cm, & he's no longer below 160cm anymore LOLs. He's right at 160cm now. Gengting grew quite alot since last time too, & I've realized that he's voice is just starting to break LOL. Congratz to gengting on not being the shortest guy in class anymore despite just hitting puberty, sorry nick, you're now the shortest guy.. LMAO. It seems most of us have remaind at the same height, or grew by one or 2 cms over the holidays only. Expected; our growth rate's slowing down till we finally reach 21 years of age where it stops completely. I guess sometimes one just looks tall but isn't really very tall, & looks can be deceiving, obviously. Oh well. Hopefully, I'll be about 173cm & 65 kg by the end of 2009. =D
After Pe it was really like free period sia. Had the new programme, Catalyst. Mrs Chua talked to us about our goals for O levels & about the right attitude we should have as we mature, & have the motivation to work hard for what we want. Nicholas wouldn't stop asking me whether he was fat or not during the whole time. REALLY ANNOYING especially when it's coming from a GUY -.- We also played a game involving strings we had to tie knots to form a circle, and then stand in the circle as Mrs Chua took away more & more of our individual circles, from one to a person to 5 to the whole class in the end.We had to make sure both of everyone's 2 feet were within the circle made by tying 5 pieces of string to form one large circle to fit roughly 35 people. In the end, we succeeded by having all the big guys sitting around the circle with only our 2 feet in the circle, and then having the smaller-framed guys to sit on our laps or knees. It was a painful experience for me, I supported a sitting Nicholas Leong on my knee when it was angled at almost 150 degrees to the floor. & Then we were trying desperately to find a song to sing which would end our agony of having to squeeze together in the circle, & finally Iskandar Z & Sham started singing the national anthem & we all followed along HAHAHA. Using nicholas leong, I inadvertently weight trained for a couple of minutes. My legs were aching after that, but all in all, we had fun during our 1st ever session of Catalyst with Mrs. Chua.
Bad things about today? Hmm.. let's see here..... I GOT CAUGHT FOR MY HAIR. TWICE.
& the worse thing is... I just cut it last week! My hair's been reduced by so much, & yet they still think it's long?! My hair before I cut it was at least 3 times thicker & longer than it is now lor.

Long Hair on the 21st Dec 2008... It still got longer nearing the start of school.
Curse you, blind discipline masters.
Now I know that you're screwed in Singaporean Secondary schools if you have naturally WAVY hair, like me. Your hair's not even long by your standards, & yet you can get caught just cause it's 'too thick' or some shit like that.
Alright, I'd better get started with my homework, wouldn't wanna waste my energy burning midnight oil just doing some stupid homework.
Astalavista.
